actually, earthstar is well known for harvesting e-mail addresses off the
world wide web as well as newsgroups and such. their web-crawling bots
also ignore robots.txt, which is a very bad practice. I've seen numerous
attempts for their trawler to get into one (password protected) site that
I run.
