I want to dump my UDB filesystems (a machine called astro1) in a tape
located in another machine called fis.
so I made the following:
1. created the file /.rhosts in the machine fis where I put
astro1.ce.uevora.pt
2. put a tape in the atpe drvie
3. typed in the astro1
rdump 0uf fis:/dev/nrmt0a /dev/sda4
and got the following message:
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Tue Nov 26 16:00:13 1996
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
DUMP: Dumping /dev/sda4 (/home) to /dev/nrmt0a on host fis.ce.uevora.pt

rdump: Lost connection to remote host.
DUMP: Bad return code from dump: 1
can anyone tell me what is the problem? need some help
