If you use MetroX and an MGA Millennium, read on:

Hi,
This is a known problem in the current release. Our next release
(sometime in 1Q97) should resolve this problem.
You have already found (good work!) the various workarounds we have
(16 or 24 bit depth, virtual resolution,...) so I don't have any other
suggestions.
