Hello everyone,
I've added an Adaptec 1542 SCSI adapter to my RedHat 4.0 box. I've edited
my /etc/conf.modules file to include the line:
alias scsi_hostadapter aha1542
which is just what it said to do in the SCSI HOWTO. Unfortunately it
doesn't work. When the system boots and tries to mount /dev/sda1 (from the
/etc/fstab file) it fails because kerneld still can't figure out to load
the 1542 module.
What have I missed?
Oh yeah... I'm passing the parameters of the card to the kernel via a lilo
append statement so that isn't it. And the card works fine manually loading
the modules and then manually mounting the drive.
O yeah #2... I know that a thread about this went across the list about a
month ago, but I've searched and searched the archives and can't find the
relevant messages. I'm sorry for cluttering up the list.
Thanks for the help!!!
