Hi, first of all let me confess that I am new to Linux and
Linux runnig on PC!
Now here is my problem, I am trying to install RedHat Linux 3.0.3
on a machine with following specifications:
CPU: Pentium Pro 200 MHZ
Adaptec 2940 controller
WDC 853 MB disk at IDE0
Seagate 4GB disk at SCSI 0
3c509 etherlink III card ( I have disabled plug and play on it)
Creative SB32 PnP ( I don't know how to disable plug and play on it)
I tried many different images ( the last one I tried was the custom/2940-509.ker)
but none of them seem to recognize the ethernet card or the sound card.
Since you guys must have come across this already,
what do I do to get Redhat Linux 3.0.3 properly installed on the above
system?
