I could see the time constraint, but lack of expertise I don't agree
with. I started out with a umsdos Slackware system about a year ago,
and toyed with that for a couple of months, lost interest, and several
months ago, I picked up a copy of Linux Journal, and saw an article
about Red Hat. I bought a CD set, and the install went fantastically.
Almost everything I've learned I've learned from the how-to's that I've
read and re-read. All this from knowing little or nothing.
Lastly, I'd like to add my applause into the mass of people also
cheering people Donnie and Erik, and everybody else who regularly posts
to the list. Also a hats off to the Linux community in general. Of all
the platforms I've seen, I have never seen such loyalty to an OS and
people so dedicated to improving it. The sheer volume of fantastically
written HOW-TOs, FAQs, etc. proves that.
