compile kernel in another computer ?

Hi,
I wonder if it will be possible to compile a
kernel for a 486/25 in a machine with a
Pentium 166.
Both computers have the same distribution
(Red Hat 3.0.3) and the same kernel 
(2.0.25).

My problem is that to compile the kernel
in the first one takes one and half hour.
:-(

Any comment ?
Is possible to to it ?
Any special care ?
