To clarify: My Colgate CD came with both FVWM, FVWM95 and
the one that you referred to as "hacked up FVWM" which RH
calls "TheNextLevel" or something like that. Accordingly
to my own experience, you can have all three on your system
simultaneously.
I didn't like The Next Level because just to customize it
I have to learn a whole new language (its config file is
preprocessed through some md4 or whatever unlike regular
.fvwm2rc or .fvwm2rc95) and I simply stick with fvwm95,
which, btw, doesn't have very much look&feel from Windose95
and works just like fvwm.
