Hi Andrew,
I have the Sony cdu31a and put in cdu31a_port=0x340,0 in mine and it found it.
Hmmm, Maybe you could try the address for the card itself. Which I believe
is 0x1f88,0 ... maybe by doing a cdu31a_port=0x1f88,0 ... Might help.
BTW, I put the cdu31a_port=0x340,0 in at the menu during install, as it
didn't find it by putting it in at just the boot prompt.
I never did get 4.0 installed as it crashs out during the install of the
packages or reboots. Weird, But maybe you won't have this problem, as they
are those who had it install for them after finding the cdrom with no problems.
