First. I am runing Redhat 4.0 with the 2.0.25 Kernel on a Pentium
Second. Everything boots normally, but it comes up with a few warning
messages.
here is a recount of what it says:
-------------
mounting local filesystemmm.
turning....
seting clock...
enable....
cat:/proc/scsi/scsi: No Such file or directory.
initilizing random....
INIT: Entering Runlevel 3
Swansea Univ....
IPX Por....
Nov 22:17:20:39 modprobe: Can't Locate module net-pf-5
Nov 22:17:20:39 modprobe: Can't Locate module net-pf-5
...
and so on.
I don't have ethernet networks enabled, since I am not on a LAN; I
don't have scsi enabled, since I don't have any scsi devices; and I don't
have fire walls enabled, cause I don't need them. Could these missing
cause a problem? and how can I fix the prob without putting these useless
(to me) things in the kernel. Oh and I do have ppp networking enabled.
since I use the internet ;-)
Below is a list of my .config file from /usr/src/linux-2.0.25/, ignore if
you don't think it's nesseccary(sp?) to solving the prob. I am just
providing as much info as I can :-D
