Yes.

We use "xon" which does an "rsh $host 'DISPLAY=myscreen xterm -ls'".
No tty !

Not so.
And as others point out, even if the user did login, start xterms and logout,
then the machine will appear to have no logged in users -- wrong !

You have 5 shells, so 5 entries !
Use "w" to see when you last did something -- need to look at all 5 shells,
not just the one ....
