I am trying to install the 4.0 system on an existing system. The 4.0
kernel module for the 3C509 ethernet card (without PnP) will not
recognize the card. I get the message something like:
eth0 is being initialization being delayed.
I don't the exact message because it does not write to the messages log
file and goes by too fast to really see. The 1.3.5.7 kernel I currently
have boots and notices the card just fine but the new kernel does not. I
tried rebuilding the kernel with no success. Any thoughts?
