As you can tell I am trying again to get mail to
work. I think I have done it. If this message
looks ok, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Also I have some questions...
1) The RPM updates Redhat has listed on the web
page, must you install those in the order listed?
2) After downloading each RPM do you use the
rpm -Uvh? ie.. are all these RPM updates or do
I need to reinstall them?
3) I cant seem to be able to get the user config
to work right. When I create a user that user
seems to be locked out of all the root stuff even
if I assign all the groups to the user in X. So
are there any problems with just renaming root
to a user account that I wanna use?
4) Anyone know if Redhat is planning on issuing
a CDROM of all these updates? If so will Redhat
allow at no or low cost these updates to those
of us who bought the Redhat Boxset 4.0?
5) Anyone know if the latest very of Netscape has
fixed the 'bus error' problem for Redhat 4.0? If
not how or what must one do to stop this from
crashing Netscape every 5 mins.
6) Something else in regards to the RPM updates,
is it or does it gehove one to wait untill each
of these are installed before recompiling the
kernel on a fresh install?
7) Is there anyone out there using a Ensoniq
Sndscape snd card with Linux? I have sent about
10 messages to Redhat Support over the last
month and a half and still no word on how to get
this card to work right.
