I discourage this approach; it's nice to be able to go to one location,
Altavista, and get everything. Perhaps Red Hat could, instead, modify
the messages that get added to the archives by removing e-mail addresses,
at least those in the headers, but perhaps also in the bodies.

The disadvantage to removing addresses is that it makes it more difficult
to contact authors directly when using the archives.
Another spamming possibility is that potential spammers can subscribe and
simply collect addresses of posters. I would encourage Red Hat to send a
policy statement to all new subscribers explaining that collection and use
of subscriber addresses is prohibited (or at least strongly discouraged;
not sure what legal rights RH has here).
