Hi, I 've installed original RedHat4.0 with MetroX.
After configuring monitor and video card I reboot and go with XWindows.
On the monitor I see this sequence:
- mouse pointer and gray dotted pattern for background
- light blue background
- now namy vertical lines appear and cover anything on the monitor. At this
point if I move a window it is filled up with many coloured points.

I've tried installing all the OS for 3 times, but nothing changed.
So I tried changing the video card and monitor and it seems to be ok only
with IBM VGA.
My video card is regularly recognized as TSENG ET 4000 under W95 and it

runs
perfectly. Besides XWindows starts regularly seldom.
This is my configuration:

 486DX2 66
 16 Mb ram
 controller EIDE Side jr Pro
 TSENG ET 4000 W32 ( distributed by Trust )
 HD1200 Western Digital
 HD730 Western Digital
 Teac CD ROM 4x
Original Red Hat 4.0 Intel boxed set

Can you help me ?
Thanks.
                                                Daniele Buonaiuto

P.S.: I hope you understand my primitive English.
