smbmount to WinNT

Hi
I am successfully mounting Linux directories and printers onto my Win NT 4
(WS) machine, but can't seem to make it happen the other way round...I
keep getting
[hartr@archenland hartr]$ smbmount //hwin/d/hartr hwin
Password:
mount error: Invalid argument
Maybe you should try to type the username and
password in UPPERCASE.
If I try my username in uppercase it rejects it as "Unknown user" and if I
try my password (which contains digits, underscore and alpha) in uppercase
it still doesn't work.
Can anyone give me a pointer here?
