I'd be 'for' this idea. If it's not listed, and it really works
with Linux, than just add it, a manufacturer doesn't have to
complain twice. If it is not, users who is planning to install
Linux will be warned. The list should be made searchable.
Both, Supported Hardware List and Beware of that Hardware List
should be compiled and posted, since, as it seems, the existing
Hardware How-To is not enough.

I do like that one. It would decrease questions like "I am
trying to install Linux and it doesn't recognize my Plug'n'Pray
[enter device name here] card.
