Hello to everyone.
I've just found a "bug" concerning glint. Running Colgate on a Sparc LX
(jessica), I connected to this computer with a normal telnet from my
machine (logan) from an xterm. Then, I setted manually a wrong DISPLAY
with an
export DISPLAY=logan:0.0 ( bash )
and the DISPLAY of the machine runninx X was logan:1.0
Then, I run glint and it exited with a
# Tk_Init error: couldn't connect to display "logan:0"
Traceback (innermost last):
File "./glint.py", line 23, in ?
from rhtkinter import *
File "/usr/lib/rhs/python/rhtkinter.py", line 52, in ?
e = Entry()
File "/usr/lib/python/tkinter/Tkinter.py", line 1093, in __init__
Widget.__init__(self, master, 'entry', cnf, kw)
File "/usr/lib/python/tkinter/Tkinter.py", line 829, in __init__
Widget._setup(self, master, cnf)
File "/usr/lib/python/tkinter/Tkinter.py", line 805, in _setup
_default_root = Tk()
File "/usr/lib/python/tkinter/Tkinter.py", line 590, in __init__
self.tk = tkinter.create(screenName, baseName, className)
TclError: Tcl_AppInit failed
[1]+ Exit 1 glint
Well, this is not exacly a bug, glint ended correctly, but cout be nice
a correct error message like
glint: cannot open display $DISPLAY
