hello
yesterday I was trying to limit the access to su. So I made a group called
sus and added to that group the people that are allowed to su. Also made a
change the owner group for su instead of root become sus.
Now I tryed to su and got the following message:
pancho@galaxy(~)$ su
Password:
su: cannot set groups
weird!
then I decided to put everything as it was... so I removed the group sus
and changed again the owner group of su for root (as it was in the
beginning). now it was suposed that any user would have access to su but
got the following message
pancho@galaxy(~)$ su
Password:
su: cannot set groups
Now what did I done wrong? Can anyone help me... its a pain moving out of
the Xwindows term to a tty0 and from there to login as root and do the
administration work.
