Yes. Everything in the updates directory is official; we'd recommend
them for any user of those packages, at least.

I think it's because the errata page is being completely re-written
in response to complaints on this list. The last draft I saw had
those packages on it, It's far easier to read and understand
than our previous errata page, and will be in place soon. Sorry
for the delay...
