Note that version 4.0 has been out for almost two months now. 3.0.3

Are you trying to get the mouse running under the console, under
XFree86 or under Metro-X? What types of mice have you tried? What
com port and what device name did you try? Without the specifics of
what you are trying to do and what you have done, it is unlikely that
anyone can help.
