If you really mean *mount* points, that's not the way amd works ...
What is does is create a mount point for itself, and when you access a file
below that point, it uses tables to find what you really want, mount that
*somewhere else* and returns a symb link to that other place.
This means that the actualy mount point of the device and the path you use to
access it via amd must be different.
We share amd config files across about a dozen types of system so have to make
provisions for the dumbest of them (not sure where Linux comes) so use the
"program" file system to do the mounting and unmounting.
It's also useful to provide a script to dismount removeable media, as users
tend to remove them while still mounted (*one* thing Sun got right -- not
having an eject button on their floppy drives !).
