Maelstrom from fvwm95 menu ?

Maelstrom works great when the Maelstrom command is typed from a xterm
window, But if I try to add the Maelstrom command to a fvwm95 popup
menu or even tkgoodstuff button it doesn't work.
After selecting it on the menu, it does run but it is not being
displayed on my monitor. I can do a ps and see both Maelstrom and
Maelstrom_sounds are active, but no display. I tried Maelstrom
-display hostname:0 but that didn't work either.
Any ideas?
