Try the lost+found directory on the partition that had the problem. You
may also want to check /var/log as the errors are also probably listed
in /var/log/messages. The lost+found directory is for orphan disk blocks,
similar in purpose to the filexxxx.chk lost cluster files generated by
chkdsk in the Dunce Operating System.
