I've been looking high and low for this answer on many of the redhat
mailing list archives. Unfortunately the pam-list@redhat.com is not
searchable via the web and searching interface via email was not working
for me. I hope this is not a FAQ, I apologize in advance if it is, but...

How do I enable shadow passwords on my RH 4.0 using PAM! Did I miss
something or is the reason there are no clear directions on how to do it
is because it is not yet recommended! I've read a number of horror stories
regarding pam on this and other mail lists, so maybe I should not even
venture in to this, but at least I would like to know.

Thanks,

-J
