Yeah,
I had the same problem when I install. It's not realy a problem but
rather some bug in the installation script. What happened to me is
that RedHat Installation "forgot" to install some packages including
kernel-source (that one is one of the base packages and should not be
left out in any case). You don't need the SRPMS stuff. Start glint
from X instead and click on "available packages". If it shows the group "Base", go
there and install everything left in it, specifically the kernel-source (I
forgot the exact rpm name, but it's easy to find).
It's probably a good idea to take a look at other "available
packages" : in my case kernel-source was not the only "forgotten"
package.
