I may be a bit impatient, but I got absolutely no replies to my first
posting, so I'm trying again ... :

I've been wondering if anyone has made an 'ifup' script for use with
bootpc. In my old RH 2.1 there was an environment variable BOOTP=[yes|no]
in ifcfg-eth0, but apparently it has disappeared in RH 4.0. What I would
like is for ifup to check whether to obtain the IP-addresses for
ifcfg-<device> or from bootpc. - And in the latter case to invoke bootpc.
I do know there is a rc.bootpc script in the bootpc rpm, but it doesn't
seem to fit very well with the remaining network setup scripts.

That's it. Has anyone done it ?

  Regards

  Rasmus
