Set up whatever filter you have to use "bjc600" with resolution of
"360x360". Make sure you have a version of Ghostscript which supports
this printer. The ghostscript-4.01 rpm in /contrib does this, although
the 3.53 version supplied with RH may not. I'm using a MPC-2500, which
prints like a BJC-4100 and this works great for me. I haven't tried it
with aps, but I set things up by editing the filter installed by the
printer tool.
