what is SysVinit-scripts for ?

Hi,
I was upgrading CND 1.0 (RH 2.1 - kernel 1.2.13)
to kernel 2.0.x and I found some things that
I would like to know.
There is a new package for me called
"SysVinit-scripts-1.00-8"
It conflicts with NetKit-B-0.06-12 of
RH 3.0.3 and also with initscripts-2.52-1
I understood from the name it have something
to do with scripts at "init".
Does it substitute completely "initscript"
package so I could uninstall it?
The description of both packages is the
same:
Description :
inittab and /etc/rc.d scripts
Actually I have installed "initscripts-2.0-5"
from initial CND 1.0 installation and it looks
does not conflict with "SysVinit-scripts" but
if I try to upgrade to "initscripts-2.52-1"
I got problems.

Other question: "libc-includes"
With CND 1.0 cames version 5.0.9-2.
with RH 3.0.3 cames version 5.2.18-1
With the RiskyHack script I did
installed "libc-devel-5.4.4-4" and
that library conflict with
libc-include version 5.0.9-2 and
5.2.18-1.
Does "libc-devel-5.4.4-4" substitute
libc-include library ?
I do not know even if I need already
libc-include anymore ?
I will appreciate a clarification about it.
