I have a Logitech bus mouse which was not seen by gpm. Various helpful
suggestions didn't work. Finally I recompiled the kernel, selecting not
only the Logitech bus mouse support but also the ATIXL and PS/2 support,
and now it does work. My/dev/mouse points to /dev/psaux.

The `solution' feels like a kludge, though. I don't know which of the
three mouse drivers, or even more than one, is necessary. The idea that
I might need PS/2 comes from gpm -t help.

Perhaps the `make config' could offer a more helpful hint?

Dirk
