The only time this has happened to me is when I failed to read/delete
the root email. It can get pretty big over time if it is not cleaned out.

My / partition,device,file has expanded and become 100% full, and very
little will work now. Is there a fix for this?
Why does this happen?
I've got a 30 MB extended partition set aside for /. That should, surely,
be big enough for almost anything I might want to do. This is home
single-user machine.
