Yes, you do want it.

And my point is that we aren't aware of any specific ordering
constraints, other than those shown within points.  Like I
say, we're working on improving the errata, and I forwarded
your points to the person who maintains it.

rpm -V <packagename>

Concretely,
rpm -V initscripts

"man rpm" will explain this output, though in a rather terse
way.  You can do "rpm -Va" to verify your whole system, but that
will require you to wade through a *lot* of output.

I'm sorry, I'm missing some context.  The color option?  I don't
actually have a copy of the user's guide in my office, so I
don't know what's on page 60.  I always go by section number and
look on the version on the web site...  Sorry about that...
