Okay, I did this (it's just -c, actually), and it chunked for a while (only
five minutes, though) and moved some blocks around.  On the second run of
e2fsck, it the SCSI driver gave the same old error message, but fsck itself
was happy.  On a reboot, Linux loaded all right, although my /c and /d
mount points were gone and had to be recreated.  I haven't played with it
enough to know whether anything else is out of whack.

The cart still complains during the badblock check--I don't know whether to
trust it or not.  If it gives me one more problem, I'm getting Iomega on
the phone--if that's possible.
