Just a reminder.
ABout a year ago I submitted a script called rhupdate. This perl program
interrogates on-line repositories of RedHat updates, compares them to your
installation, advises you of packages that have been updated, and them helps
you to download them. You can then use rpm -U to update your system. I
have been using this script since RedHat 2.0 to keep my system up to date
with the latest RedHat fixes. It works fine - not great.
I know that the folks at RedHat placed this script somewhere on their system
for use, but I was unable to find it this morning. If you want it, feel
free to fetch it from my system at spm.themacs.com via anonymous ftp. It is
called rhupdate, and is in the /pub directory.
RedHat folks, I would be happy to put this into a package, but it seems too
simple to bother :-)
