Are you sure about that? rpm -Uvh *.rpm will install OR UPGRADE all .rpm
files in the current directory verbosely and with hashes.

From man rpm:
     -U, --upgrade
              Upgrade the package currently installed to the ver-
              sion in the new RPM.  This is the same as  install,
              except all other version of the package are removed
              from the system.

What have I missed?
