Do you mean you have Linux, and it is connected to an ISP, and you have
a single-user dialup-style account, and you want to get your mail for your
own personal account ?
Or do you mean you have Linux connected to an ISP, and you want to have
several user accounts on your machine, and they can all receive mail ?
You can do this in a great variety of ways, either way you are set up.
It would help me to answer if you could elaborate on two questions I have
posed.
For starters, if your machine is connected properly and you just want to
read your mail from your inbox on the ISP's machine, you can telnet to
the ISP's machine, login as you, and run pine.
Pretty much all other solutions involve SMTP, SENDMAIL, UUCP, POP, or
some combination thereof.
In this case you may have to be reading many different HOW-TO's before
everything will be working properly.
I don't know of a single document that is designed just for the
purpose(s) you mentioned that has all the answers all by itself.

Considering that you are using RedHat, if you run the configuration
program in x-windows, you should be able to point and click with the
default installation options and everything should just work...
( Unless you have a separate email account on the ISP's machine and
that is what you are referring to. )
I seem to be having a mental block on exactly how to answer this question.
