What kind of printer did you set it up as? The 870Cse is a really new
printer, and it doesn't appear in the Ghostscript printer
compatibility list (http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/printer.html)
Fortunately I don't think it's one of those *#&$ed Windows-only
printers.
Have you set up the printer using control-panel? I'd try the cdj550
filter, and make sure you set it to /dev/lp1 -- that's assuming the
printer is on your first parallel port.
Since that printer should work for DOS, it should work under Linux.
