Run the following commands (as root)
rpm -Uvh ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/RPMS/netatalk-1.3.3-7.i386.rpm
/etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk.init start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk.init stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk.init start
You should have a running appletalk server, serving users' home
directories. To serve more volumes, just list them in
/etc/AppleVolumes.default and restart the server.
The server is PAMified so it should work with shadow passwords or whatever
else you throw at it.
Hope this helps,
