Plsase excuse for writing you directly; my home system is off the net
(as you see) and I am writing from work.

at this address, since I don't subscribe to any redhat lists here.

I have just installed Redhat 4.0; and dip, which worked fine for
Yggdrasil, and Redhat 2.0 and 3.0.3, has stopped working. I get dial
in, login, and a connection message, but it's not possible to ping
anything but the local address given in the connection message; other
attempts either just fail or report "network unreachable". Usually the
connection dies after about a minute.

Has anyone had similar trouble?

Could it be security problems -- probably not; the same thing happens
when I run dip as root? Or possible failure to update everything OK?
Any ideas about tests?
