I am trying to run plip, but the plip module won't automatically load.
I have loadable module support compiled in (this is the relevent section
of my .config file):
#
# Loadable module support
#
CONFIG_MODULES=y
CONFIG_MODVERSIONS=y
CONFIG_KERNELD=y

When I try to run
ifconfig plip2 main pointopoint remote up

I get this:
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
SIOCSIFDSTADDR: No such device

If I do
insmod plip
everything works fine.

What gives?  Thanks.

Paul
