I just upgraded from a non-redhat linux 1.2.13 with apache 1.0 to
redhat-4.0 with apache 1.1.1. I have noticed something that concerns me. I
see only one httpd process running, even though I have set it to start 5
servers in the httpd.conf file. It is set as a standalone server as well,
like I had it before.

Does this have anything to do with the way apache is started by the init.d
scripts? Is apache running properly?

Thanks,
Glen de Vries
