I found one other instance of this in the archive but not much help.
I go through the installation steps for a cd install of 3.03 - everthing is
ok. Then I load lilo onto the mbr of my ide drive (seagate 1.2g) - reboot -
get the message "LI" and the computer freezes - Now even dos can't find my
hard drive. I will have to format the drive again (this is the second time this
has happened).
The computer is a dx4/100 16megs ram drive is a seagate 1.2 gig with a somewhat
strange startup procedure of its own. You need to press the control button
down if you want to boot from a floppy. Strange, but debian linux's lilo
was ok with it. Thanks for any ideas/suggestions/help
