My friend is sysdamin and he maintains his school Unix-box (Redhat 3.0.3) and he has following problem: His school unix machine allows only 64 telnet connections. When 65th user tries to login his connection is refused. He knows that latest kernels support some kind of PTY-mode which increases simultaneous telnet connections up to 256 but he told me that he haven't found any telnet daemon which would work with it.He also told me that default telnet daemon doesn't work with this PTY-scheme---> well atleast he claims! :) Sound weird? Well this is truly weird question.... http://www.netppl.fi/~arrepola "There is an old Vulcan proverb: Only Nixon can go to China" - Spock, STVI -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, HOWTO and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! ________________________________________________________________________ http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-HOWTO http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-Tips http://www.redhat.com/mailing-lists ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe: mail -s unsubscribe redhat-list-request@redhat.com < /dev/null
