Hi all. I have a few things after installing 4.0 that I am having
problems with. I installed almost all packages, and all the relevant
rpm's from the updates/ directory.
1) My first question concerns modules. I recompiled the kernel with my
specific options. Now I receive the following messages for several of
the newly installed modules:
*** Unresolved symbols in module /lib/modules/2.0.18/misc/ipx.o
*** Unresolved symbols in module /lib/modules/2.0.18/net/3c509.o
...
2) After installing the new NetKit, initscripts, etc, route no longer
works. The error message I receive on bootup from route is as follows:
route: netmask doesn't match route address
[usage message follows]
This happens for both my loopback and eth0 interface. I traced it, and
apparently the following route command is what produces this message:
route add -net 127.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 lo
and
route add -net 192.107.200.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0
Thanks much for any ideas,
Dave Wreski
