Ok, I forget to mention in my previous message that I am run it at
1280x1024.
My monitor is a NEC MultiSync 6FGp but I do not think it can influence
the result.

Like I did said, it is my experience with Diamond. I know there was a time
when Diamond did not want to provide information about their graphic cards
but that time past over sometime ago. (fortunately).
One of the books I have about linux, says that Diamond Cards are not supported
that was the first one I read and I was worried about it because I had that
card but afterwards I discover that it was not really true.
