Ok, I'm on RH 3.0.3 w/the updates and 2.0.24 kernel...
I'm trying to read an msdos formated disk but I keep getting these kind of
errors:
Using mtools -
[root@snowball /root]# mdir a:
Probable non-MSDOS disk
mdir: Cannot initialize 'A:'
[root@snowball /root]#
Using mount -
[root@snowball /root]# mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
or too many mounted file systems
[root@snowball /root]#
I do have msdos support compiled into the kernel and I know the
diskett is a valid dos format. Any ideas? Options?
I have also tried to boot from a dos floppy on this machine but
that didn't work, either. (Kept getting the non-system disk error).
