Is there a way to find out the changes made from an installed rpm and a
newer package file. I've been getting the rpm files from the update
directory for RedHat 4.0, but qon't know what they were intended to fix.
This would be a very nice feature. Say, to be able to do a
rpm -qp --diff <pkg-name>.rpm
and have it list which files changed, etc. Or maybe,
rpm -qp --changes <pkg-name>.rpm
which prints a short list of changes that were added to the package when it
was created. Thsi would leave it up to the package desginer.
Secondly, is there somewhere I can look that states what each upgrade was
designed to fix? I've found some of this in the redhat-list@redhat.com.
Maybe I missed the other announcements --- I wsa hoping there was a more
central location for this information.
