I feel your pain. ;-)

I am having a similar problem; my RH 4.0 installation is going nowhere. 
Neither my SCSI card nor my CDROM are being recognized, and they are
very common pieces of hardware in standard configuration.  I sent in my
registration almost two weeks ago and have not heard word-one from RH so
that I can post an "official" tech support question.  It is starting to
get a little frustrating...
