eth0 CU wedged?

Today I came in and saw some interesting messages on the console, the machine
appeared to still be running fine. Any idea as to what these mean?
eth0: CU wedged, status 0240 0000, resetting...
eth0: CU wedged, status 0400 0000, resetting...
and thats it...
also, what does this error mean at bootup? I compiled my kernel for modules
properly.
modprobe can't find : module net-pf-5 (about 4-5 times) or something like
that.
