Dang. I'm trying to set up a custom initrd to load up raid0.o and run
mdadd and mdrun for the MD disk striping support. Almost working - I
get a :

	Unable to open initial console

error during boot.

The system has two ide drives partitioned like this :

hda1	15meg	<== /dev/md0 ==>	hdb1	15meg		for swap
hda2	7meg							for / to boot from
hda3	100meg	<== /dev/md1 ==>	hdb2	100meg		for / for main system

/dev/hda2 contains a copy of /boot, a little bit from /etc, /dev - just
enough to run lilo -r against. The kernel in /boot has had "rdev
vmlinuz /dev/md1" run against it. The /boot dir on /dev/md1 is a
duplicate of that on /dev/hda2.

The initrd I'm using is a copy of the one the install created for the
Buslogic scsi. Since the scsi drive was extra (not booting from it), I
removed BusLogic.o, then I just added the raid0.o file and added
commands to run mdadd and mdrun to linuxrc.

The /dev dir in the initrd contains console, tty0 tty1 tty2 and tty3.
Could it be permissions ?  I noticed that tty0 wasn't there - I added
after I got the error the first time.

Any ideas ?  I'm sure it's something simple ...
